after 5 mnths of an accident i just had abother, i just got my car back yesterday too, it was raining and i stopped cos they car stopped for traffic, but the guy behind didnt brake early enuff, so hit me, the tailgate is dented and doesnt close properly and bumper si scratched, i got his reg, adress and phone number, what do i do> call insurance? will it affect my insurance in any way?

call ins surance give his details hs insurance company etc
tell them it was his fault entirely etc theyll ask you how it happened etc

You should have involved the police as well, then the guy behind might have give false details, no insurance, no licence, driving without due care and attention....etc.
Go and tell your insurance, claim off the guy.

he has license, he gimme his details i checked the drivers license, he accepts full responsibility so...lets hope it goes all to plan

the insurance will always blame the person who goes into the back of another car as it is driving without due care and attention.

Police aren't interested unless someone involved has sustained injuries. Until that point it's a civil and not a criminal matter. They wouldn't have attended the scene.

Yyep, its the law... You can get points for not reporting accidents... But, they wouldnt have done anything in this case.
