Right, when my sis passes her test I will be able to get a car I've been wanting for agessssss (have to take sis + gf to work so need more than 2 seats, lol!) want a Honda CRX Vti (160bhp model with elec. roof, etc) thing is.. beings they are quite old they'll have a few miles on them... seen one at local garage for £4995 with only 39k on the clock, FSH, excellent condition except engine sounds rattly for the amount of miles its done + nearly £5k for that is ludicrous, more like £4k really!! But ne ways, wud buying say an M Reg with like 70-100k on the clock be dodgy as it'll be knackered or are they good engines (B16a?) Any advice or previous experience wud be brilliant! Also, wot to look for, etc etc!

yeah with the one i got its basically like a unichip, it allows u to change when the vtec kicks in but also allows you to change the fueling aswell, some controllers dont allow yo uto change the fueling aswell which is a waste of time as the engine will run lean

i had vti coupe '99 for a half year.
was an awesome car. i want another. had to sell it to clear some debts unfortunately.
the b16a engine is highly reliable. i shouldn't worry about 70 odd K miles.
mine was on 58k and pulled liek a train

cheers myke are they normally quite noisy and a tad rattly under the bonnet? Or cud that be a sign of a knackered engine?
