hi ya,
right basically my cars done 96,000 and im puttin a 1.48v in thats done 130,000 but its goin to be rebuilt ect!!!
a) how many more miles will i get on the 1.4 after its rebuilt
b)do u have to put the dash in from the 1.4 car so its got the right mileage
c)would i just change it on the v5, and what do i say to the insurance ppl when i ring up for quotes

my 8v SRi lump seems bullet proof... just change the oil every 6k etc, and keep an eye on things
u just put the engine number on the v5 and send it to dvla, with insurance just ring and ask em... is it a bigger engine thats goin in ?

good price just make sure its all done proper!
engine should be good for another 100k+ depending on the state of the rebuild... 8v engines are pretty much bullet-proof as said, unless thrashed & caned like a bitch... my old one had 3 rebuilds before the block cracked 
no need to change the dash either

Some SRi's in germany came with the NZ engine 
have a look in the back of the owners manual for your corsa & you'll see under the SRi its listing the C14SE engine & C14NZ engine...

well the SRi is group 6 if it helps... so expect an increase  of how much? who knows...

thats allwight, just carnt be doin with a 1.2 anymore!!! na the bloke whos doin the rebuild is my mates dad he does it for a living so shes in safe hands, so when i ring insurance up for a quote in a min what plate number do i have to give them and what should i say, its all abit to confusing 4 me lol
