my head gasket has blown on my 1.4 16v ecotec sport. i have been qouted £300 to fix it, i have also been qouted £500 somewhere else for the same job. what price should i expect to pay?please help!!!

£500 sounds like a vauxhall price

£500 is v expesive btw 300 is you average

my 8valve cost 30

but yeah 300 for a 16v is about right mate

yep 200 for my 8v so 300 for a 16v is cheap as you get, unles you go back garage who will bodge it for 150

cheers. i wasnt quite sure how much itd cost. i knew it was expensive, but not exact prices.
