i want to upgrade my front and rear speakers but dont want to buy adaptor plates i have a corsa gsi and can any 1 tell what insurence group it is as i am new to a corsa? its a 1.6 16v on a l reg?????
many thanx any tune up advice wouldnt go a miss either

insurance group 11 m8, i think the front standard speakers are 5.25" standard, so should be able to fit them without plates! not sure on the back!

You will need adapters for the front as the original speakers are fixed, not too much bother tho just a few extra screws. The rears are 5.25 i think and are secured by one screw and slide in and out but you have to remove the plastic trim in the boot to get to it.

i've taken my rear speakers out and put sony 6x9 in parcel shelf and used existing wires. For my front speakers, i got some sony 13cm jobbies, i cut the original speakers out there mount and drilled the sony in, soldered some wires from the sonies to the original connects, and plugged it back in! took a few hours but i haven't had to drill holes in my door or anything!!! u2u me if you wanna no more...

If you would have just paid £12.99 you would have had 2 new empty mounts and the wiring convertors. Screw the speakers into the mounts, then screw to the door, and thats it.
Takes me about 10/15 mins
