is it posibile to sand down brake discs the sides with come in contact with pads got my sis a corsa its been off road for about 4 weeks and discs are abit rusty been driving it for about 2 weeks now but still abit rusty are would it be beter to change discs and pads

does not stop as well as mine does but yes it stops ok

if they have been scored in past then the rust will stay in them places untill the disc metal wears that far.
In all fairness id just go to a pattern parts place and get some pads and discs, wont set you back more than about £50 for the lot and you will be on the safe side.
But make sure you bed the brakes in as they wont stop very well for a few hundred miles so just take slowly
