Ive got a drilled airbox with a pipercross panel filter at the moment...

thinking about getting a viper or something sealed like a BMC after christmas, now are they worth it and am i going to see a gain from them at all even if very minimal, this is on a 1.6 with a dblias by the way

i think vipers are good as im gona get 1, but i wouldnt say they are worth £200.

i would pay about £120 for one, i think it is piece of mind that you have the best. i have a drilled airbox and though people say they are the same as a viper, it is still in my head that a viper is better some how.

Rob,

good idea is to buy one of these and then couple it with a silicon reducer and then run a cold air feed into grill and thenyou have your viper for under £50

When i rolling roaded it with the standard airbox on it was 117 Bhp, then with out it was 123 Bhp, quite a difference but then again, 117 was the standard panel filter and not drilled...so i dunno

dude, with 257bhp prob not, but 123 or so, yes

Rob, i have driven my car with a standard airbox, drilled airbox, induction kit and a viper, and the viper was by far the best, all the others caused flatspots, but the drilled airbox sounded ace, viper is quiet, but will give more bhp banter figures

they are without the cold air feed, but then it kinda defeats the object of having a sealed induction kit

viper sounds like a beast on my car with the cat-back scorpion exhaust!!
but thats only because the air feed is disconnected!!
i found that the air feed was restrictive as it had like two bends in it before it reached the grill! and the car responded better with out it anyway plus sounds better, ive never had flat spot problems either!!

but to tell the truth it was not worth £250!!!
