looking for a cheap laptop for my girl for xmas, which of these would you say is the besT?
1.
ACER TM2413LM
2.
Acer Aspire 3003LM
3.
Dell InspironTM 1300
4.
ADVENT 7081 + USB WIRELESS ADAPTOR
or any other ones that you know of for about the 400 mark. only used for office 2003, and wifi 'net (not fussed if have to buy a usb wifi thingy)

Acer Aspire 3003LM m8. I work in a computer shop u can't go wrong wit em dey're really nice. If u decide different don't go for the Dell their absolute rubbish.

Dell's are far from rubbish. I'd go for a Dell, just not that one. So out of your choice, the Acer 3003LM as above.

i had a dell, but needed new one, as something went wrong and needed a new harddrive got one but still wasnt good so me mam got me a new laptop now with packard bell

I'm trying to get the Acer Aspire 3003WLMI
was selling at comet for £500, but not any more
But for the price, the aspire just offers more in my opinion.

I have never had a problem with dell laptop, well apart from droping mine and breaking the screen

The Dell is heaviest but is the only one to have wireless LAN on board?
I wouldn't bother with a USB or even PCMCIA wireless card, they're fragile and will be the first thing to break.

just bought an acer 4021wlmi for 375 quid, from an old couple who bought it for 570 a month and a day ago from tesco and they would not refund it
quite a good deal i thought, even got the reciept as warrenty
