Got myself an XDA IIs, which cost me next to nothing (no not a Lee special)
phone is only 7 months old from new, I still have the original receipt from the original owner to prove.
Phone is NOT IMEI barred, and not stolen, BUT it does have a smashed screen...
is there any way I can claim this on warranty some how? Given the phone is only 7 months old!
If not... options?? Been quoted £165 for a screen repair by a company called Apex Laptops... but pricey tho!
Cheers

You cant claim warrenty unless the phone is at fault. The screen looks as though its damaged accidentally.
If you have insurance claim on that and they will send one out to you

IF i was on o2 contract then yes, but it becomes complicated being 2nd hand tho...
just a query really, thought as much wouldnt be able to, but just wanted to check!
Manufacturers warranty is next...
XDA tho is in real good condition! boxed, all accessories, no marks on the case, just the screen which has gone using PC to control it atm & it works absolutely fine making & recieving calls no worries!

Nah, you cant claim on the warrenty if you broke it. You need insurance to cover accidental damage

er try going into an o2 phone shop mate, and see if they can send it away for repair obviously there will be a charge, but i can see it being less than the £170 alredy quoted.
mind in saying that when mine broke i phoned up for a replacment and they said they dont fix them so just sent me a new one on contract of course, but worth a go, even ring them.

if you go to an orange shop, send it away £7.99 for insured couriered post.
They will most probably only charge you £43.99.
Try it

paul so long as you have the receipt, orange use a repair centre in scotland, doesnt have to be an orange handset.
Take the receipt and £7.99 in, they may have to send it off to get a quate, but IIRC some guy only paid £43.99 for an xda 1 screen which is a similar thing
