Correct. Unless you get it bonded on via tigerseal and maybe two screws each end.....

as a matter of intrest, how do most ppl fit their aftermarket skirts? not just the orignal GSi ones? is it common to just bond them on as mentioned? I imagine pop revits could be used but then the skirts would have to be painted on the car, which in my case i would rather paint the skirts b4 fitting? any other ways of attaching side skirts? Hope i'm not hi-jacking your thread stevie.

ah i see, so like one half so to speak of the clips is attached to the car, and the other halfs are on the skirt, so the two clips meet and attach when the skirt is placed against the car.
I imagine this would be very hard to line up, not just the spaces between the clips on the skirt but, the skirt could very easily not sit flush with the top of the sills, for example looking down on the skirts from above there would be a gap between skirt meeting into the car. Any advice or tips on how to fit them properly this way i.e spaces, gaps as mentioned

i didnt do it, but thats how they were fitted. the skirts slide onto the clips, its fairly easy to line up. push all the clips into the skirts, apply a bit of white paint to them (unless your car is white) and then hold the skirt up to the car in the right place. the paint will mark the correct position on the car then rivet the clips on
