1. fitting v6 brakes, do i need braided brake cables? if so, why?
2. what's the best way of fitting a splitter to a bumper, rivotting? screws? glue? tigerseal .etc
3. semi-smooth boot.... do i really need to weld it?

1. yes, because the brakes'll be spongy because of how large the v6 caliper piston is.

3. You dont have to, but I would! I bought one that had been fibreglassed/fillered and it cracked...

kk Matty G it's going on my rear bumper you see it's the normal VX front one but i wanna try something not sure on how to attach it atm....
and Flat4, would a Classification: Steel Fabrications place be able to help me??? using Yell.com and know of a local place.

Ideally you would want a a car body shop. I can't see a fabrication firm doing it for you!

How does you front one attach to the bumper? Try to fix it on in the same way your front one is fixed? I'd be tempted to screw it on then fill over the screw holes

look in the paper for local welders that come to your house to do the welding and you could do the rest easy

1. You don't need braided hoses, mine are fine without them. A bit more pedal travel, but not spongy. My sponginess is down to fecked rear brake cylinders.

the front splitter (not on mine on most vx's) is attached via screws and these little clips.. i think i'm jus gonna have a play

tigerseal it, and coutersink some scres/rivets to hold it too, then fill over them
