Hi everybody, just bought a 1.6 sport and its been lowered 60mm with a CAT back exhaust. Is there anyway i can stop it banging on the rear beam, or even just make it a bit quieter?

sounds like the back box may have come off the brackets mate

On my old Corsa, the Scorpion exhaust I had did that sometimes too, but it was only lowered 35mm. Hmm...

Sorry for posting in wrong section, didnt see the help one! Back box is secure like, it only vibrates at really low revs and when turning it off? I'll jack her up an have a look later on. Cheers.

Could well be that you need tighter exhaust mounting rubbers - mine did this when my car was only -35mm - just needed new exhaust rubbers

You may need to turn your exhaust clamp round ,this was what I did

I have powerflex exhaust mounts ...but still vibrates a little bit when starting and reversing, it is sticking too close to the bumper...need to fix it...

I used Ford Focus or Fiesta exhaust mounts and tuned the exhust clamp round to stop mine rattling. Worked a treat
