Hi all - I've just bought a 1.0 12v corsa b, with a thrown rod. I want to put a 99 /1.2 16v into this shell - Has anybody done this!

Will the 97 loom plug straight into the 1.2 engine loom?

I have not picked up the engine yet.

Will I need the 1.2 loom from the 1.2 shell back to fuse box?

Also will I need 1.2 cat or will 1.0 fit onto1.2 manifold? I've heard the ecu is in the scuttle, on the 1.2. On the 1.0 its on the side of the engine, I cant find anything on the shell or behind the dash.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

I'm not sure of the ECU's differ on the two engines, it's worth checking. You'll need to change the engine loom to a 1.2 one obviously. Theoretically it should be a reletively simple job to do as the engines are very similal. You will just need to ensure you get the correct engine mounts with the new engine...

you will need the loom,ecu with transponder chip's out of the keys, you will need the exhaust manifold as it has an extra branch!

and you need the 1.2 engine mount i expect

is the ecu on the side of the engine where the multipin plugs in?
cant seem to find anthing else that looks like an ecu,
just panicing a bit as of to pickup 1.2 in morning,
just want to make sure i get all the bits i need!
