right as my car is blowing blue smoke out i gathered its burning oil and its most likely the piston rings, but now when i drive seems like when the car starts to warm up i get a ratteling noise when i drive and and then gets louder when i let off??? what could this be? also seems like when i go to put my foot down there is no power there at all and it strugles up the revs

in short its sounds fucked mate,the noise could be the big end bearings.id get a compression test done and check for water in the oil.ur engine could be scrap

my old 1.4 engine lasted 3 days with little miles done wen my it started makin those ratteling noises, sucks eh

well so far it was burning loads of oil so there for piston rings had gone, i drove to cornwall about back which is about 250 each way, but now the ratteling noises have started bin goin for 3days now

My cousins X16XE started rattling. A few days after it blew a conrod out through the block.

Quite worried for mine now after reading that, its been rattling at high revs for a while though, hoping to get it looked at over the weekend. Fingers crossed it lasts until then
