Have a couple of PCs at work which need to be legal or as legal as known about  Now, they have the sticker on them for Windows XP Pro and Windows 2000 Pro but my student version of Windows XP Pro the licence is not acceped. Have a student version of 2000 Pro too but haven't tried that. Anyone got a torrent that will work  Or can help.
I'm been told that if it doesn't ask for a CD key then it's ok 
The girl turned her nose up at 2000 and started to chat about other things  She needs a new PC  well, a smile on her face

If you download a windows xp pro cd and the computer has a cd key on it that would be technically ok afaik.
You pay for a licence to use the software not the software itself.

I've tried my XP Pro CD though and it would not accept the code. Done this with XP Home and it works fine.

If your xp pro cd is a student version it most likely only accepts student codes.

Try the OEM version of XP. Just download the CD from the usual place. If you're using a real key, it doesn't matter about the CD being downloaded.

It depends what the key is as to what cd you need.
They all accept different keys.
Download an all in one cd and then you should have them all to easily try.
