Wanna get some decent cams
Is it 288 cams the most you can get on standard injection/valve train?

264 is the max on standard injection.
288s, you will NEED tbs/carbs, and pocketed pistons.
Speak to Newman cams, their prices are very competitive.

What are the gains like on 264 cams?
I've heard its not worth uprating the cams without pocketing the pistons, as without pocketed pistons your stuck to mild cams..

from the cams alone, nothing really, but you have an aftermarket inlet, 4 branch exhaust, full system and have a chip fitted and mapped for all of them, you'll see decent power.
