i am having problems with me tigra surprise surprise.

well went to tke it for a drive and it wont start. Its not even trying to start. Now the car does ht lead and spark plugs changing. could this be the reason why it is not starting?

is it making any noise at all when you turn the key - if not its likely to be the starter motor

i know its silly obvious and no offence meant at all when i say this claire buuuuuuut the battery isnt flat is it..... so obvious sometimes missed

im sure its possible for the battery to have enough power for a cd player but not enough to start the car if its flat-ish

still could be the battery, the starter motor needs an awful lot of power to turn the engine over, the radio uses very little. head lights will still work too. when you open the door with the head lights on what does the warning tone sound like??

mine strted going dead fast when my battery went flat

yep mine would fire up today when we changed loom but booster pack fired it up


do you have any option to jump start it claire with either leads or booster pack

if with jump leads etc still does then could be starter or spark etc but best not to go into that could be lucky with battery

defo change plugs that u need to change need to rule that out first

well me ex coming tomorrow with some spark plugs and they should fit it. Hes going to fit them, but ht leads wont be able to order them till tuesday i am guessing (shops open new yrs day) and get them for wednesday. I need a car for wednesday for college.

u know anyone with any leads lying about from and old engine etc to try before u fork out for some if its not the problem

well he did pull some leads from his old cavvy but broke one. and wouldnt fit or something. He can get them alittle cheaper as well brand new.

yeah hes the best. Tryin to get back with him.

never go back lol never works....



and yes very easy to damage getting them off but once u have got plugs he will be able to see if all sprak and then go from there onto any other things

cool,

at the moment i am thinking of selling the car but still not sure . but i need to fix things and when i do prob b no point in selling. think is i have only had it since august and so much has being done to it

clutch
fanbelt i thik it was
tracking

thinks need doing
spark plugs and ht leads
a shocker for left hand side
one window needs something doing to it

if u like the car once u have sorted the bits you wont wanna sell trust me ive been there about six times in the past three months on nearly selling but still havnt we must be mad but its worth it in the end,,,

id love to, insurance will rape me though, i will bide my time and then 3 years when im 21 I will buy my self an XE. Are they every bit as fun as i imagine??
