Hi, ive got a corsa 1.2 8v got it cheap and the bloke warned me before hand would need a bit of tlc to start so the electrics work changed battery/spark plugs but the ignition barrel seems to be f**kd in that whenever u put the key in and turn it dosent click or connect, could this be any other problems apart from that and/or how do i get it sorted?

sounds like the igntion switch has had it what common on vx's there £12-16 from vauxhall
quick guide......
take the plastics off around the steering column 5 screws. On the back of the barrel you willl see a black plug. put you key in the igntion and turn it to pos 1 (or 2 i cant remember). theres a hole in the black plug insert a screwdrived into that hole so in pushes the tag in while holding the tab in pull the plug off (you may need to leaver it off as thay can be well on there)
now you can get at the switch on the back of the barrel it is held in place by grub screw(s) around 2/3mm in off the edge of the barrel (you may find a blob of paint over the top of it) there may allso be another grubscrew in the back aswell once there undone give the switch a twist and off the switch comes.
