ok, basically i want to take my naturally aspirated diesel engine and replace it with a turbo version as you can tweak them a little.
At the moment i have the 1.7 isuzu lump in there, the 1.5TD version came in the corsa b and nova but the 1.7TD came in cavs and astras. i guess a 1.5TD would be a straight swap over? When it comes to a 1.7TD conversion this area seems to be a bit of a grey area  i have heard its just a case of plug and play but have also heard its not a straight forward swap.
Basically, which one do i go for? im swinging for 1.5td at the mo cuz cheaper tax

1.7 TD will go in, it goes in a Nova, so it will go in a Corsa.

do they have differant block sizes like the small block xe and big block xe
go to a scrappy and try n measure the block?

Stick the 1.5TD engine in them, great going wee engines and take lots of abuse. They also take kindly to the diesel pump being screwed

the 1.7 and 1.5 are identical arent they? just different capacities?

i had a 1.7...now got a corsa sport 1.4...difference is 30 mpg haha and nice and nippy get the 1.5 td engine...its nice and nippy from wot ive seen and got ure mpg all gud lol!

nope, isuzu lump. Id go with the 1.7 td, its what i planned to do when i had my nova.
Why not be different and stick a 3.1 turbo diesel from an isuzu trooper in?

I have done the conversion all you need is just swap fly wheel from the 1.5 to 1.7 if you are going to use the f13 gearbox mate !! the engine are the same
