Anyone got any recomendations on oil for my x16xe.

Due for an oil change so just seeing what to stay away from and such.

Bugger knows. I used to use Castrol, but not the magnatec stuff.

Well ive been toping up with castrol magnatec.

Was just curious if anyone has had any bad experiences with certain oils.

mobil 1 5w-40 fully synthetic. gives better cold start protection.

10W/40 for an X16XE????

I was told to use... 15W/40 Part Synthetic!!!!!!!!

I've also checked at Halfords (the place to go where you are desperate)
and it says to use 15W/40 Part Synthetic for the 1.6 Sport....?

dont foget GM specced th oil for the corsa when it first came out, in the early 90's.

oil has advanced since then,

About 3ish L to change it.
Just use 10/40 Semi synth GM oil. Its about a tenner for 5L

I wouldn't want to go much thinner than 10w, might start getting leaks.
