Dell is normally about the best tbh
There are sites like pc world and currys to see the other name brands which you can then search for cheaper elsewhere

i think i got mine from comet or currys for 500, think its a 1.6 dual processor type thing with dvd burner 1gig of ram and 80gb hdd with wirless networking too and widescreen

I've got the Samsung R74 I think it is, £500, 1GB RAM, core 2 duo processor, Vista Home Premium and 17" screen - excellent piece of kit
