On my boot lid, its back to the bare metal, i sprayed it with normal primer, but upon reading about etch primer, im having second thoughts about it
Ive sprayed the area i filled with primer, and want to know if etch primer can go on top of this normal primer or do i have to sand it down again
Also is it desperate that i use etch primer, cause i dont knwo where to get it from
Thanks
Marc

hi mate, from what ive learned you need to sand it down and re-do it with etch primer this forms a proper base and grips to the metal where your normal primer wont and in a few months you'll notice where you repainted it,
hope this helps, cheers.

You need Etch Primer, not any other stuff.
You can buy Etch Primer from Halfords, it's with all the specialist paints by the fillers. It's called Acid 8 and it's made by Upol.

You just need to dust a little on, then use some standard primer on top of that.
