any one know any were i can get a performance clutch and lightened fly wheel for my corsa 1.6 16v sport 1998 ? any info apreciated cheers jon

just get your standard one lightened

Fit a flat one off a nova gte.
No point at all lightening the standard Pot fly, when you can get a nova one for about a tenner and its about 4kg lighter.

if i remeber

pot type (x16xe) around 9.5kg
flat type (14xe) around 7kg

my lightened pot type was 5.5kg

Correct
Thats still a decent saving, for the sake of about a tenner and a new clutch cover plate
Whereas a lightened version will cost quite a bit more.

Nova Gte/Gsi

I have a spare one btw, but the face has a few hairline cracks, probably be fine with a skim tho.

I have a nova gsi engine 1.6 i think this is the c16se does this mean i would have this ligher flywheel aswel,

Is there not alimit to how light as the declaration would be slower I'm guessing if it was too light.

most x14xe engines have the 7kg flat flywheel as well.

The clutch pressure plate does.
And new flywheel bolts.

Picks the revs up quicker. Less weight for the engine to move.

Should slightly improve throttle response, altho i cant tell on mine because i still have the gay standard plastic air straw fitted

Same flywheel used in some of the corsa C engines too

Now to find one
