i recently bought a r5 gt turbo ' i raced my mates vts and beat it but at 125mph it cut out' it still starts and runs fine but thers white smoke coming from the exhaust what could it be ?

Sure its not grey/blue?

White is water, grey/blue is oil.

Well done on getting the R5gt. My sister had one. Brilliant car and super fast but they are broken 90% of the time

oh and it wasnt the headgasket it was either water or oil getting into the inlet manifold.

i got this same problem on my GSI got new gasket and valve stem seals on way
