Whats better for all out accelration...f16 or f20...
aslo the Xe wouldnt kill the f16 would it...

no it wont
f20 with a final drive from an f20 4x4 is the better gearbox for acceleration

But both boxes standard, the F16 will be slightly quicker.

depends, if its an f16, not an f16cr, then it will be slower.

as ive recently found out. Mines an F 16 - not a CR, and it is slower than a standard 20 lol

Thats right, or do as nik says, and use the final drive from a 4x4 F20, in a 2WD F20.
Prob wont be that much of a difference, and for the price/effort, would be as well getting a F16CR.

True, more of them about than F16CR's, so if it does break, then theres plenty of replacements.

most f16s seem to be cr an therefore worse top end. There isnt even amassive difference anyway, just some people get a bit too anal on the matter. Just leave what ever is one it.

f16cr's were on like cavalier sri's, astra gte 8v's and a few others. id say there is similar amounts of them about really. just harder to get the right f16

a long ratio box makes a hell of a difference. I remember my uncles westfield, he fitted a different box with a ratio that made a difference of say 5mph less in first gear and it pulled a hell of a lot better in 1st second and 3rd.

ive been offered a few f16cr on migweb...i dnt want top end...just want better 0-60...plus il be rebuilding the box anyway as with the engine
