randomly my centre clock thing just started flashing on and off and ages and now its off completly but i dont think its the bulbs and they are new bulbs in there..

any ideas?

Loose connectiion at the back I reckon mate. Or the PCB has gone inside.

Easy fix though, take the MFD up and check that it's plugged in right. If not get up the scrappy and get a new one

plug may just need resoldering on the back of it
