i have a redtop corsa but the speedo doesnt work..

im just wondering if any one knows on average, how fast does a standard redtop do in 3rd and 4th as it hits the limmiter with an F20 gearbox.

around about 60ish 3rd, around 110ish 4th iirc

I think Ste mistook it for 2nd

It will do about 60 in second yeah. Third on mine is pretty much bang on 90, and as Ste said, 110 in 4th.

I used this a while ago while my speedo wasnt working. You will need to know your final drive though. Pretty sure the F20 and F28 are the same ratios but with an extra gear added on. For my F28 the final drive is 3.72 so give that a try

yea wasn't thinking lol, i was thinking 0-60 - then into third

I'm confsed about boxes now though, i thought the F20 was geared better for top end over the F16.

But....my 2.0 (with F16) Does (according to speedo round my test track) 70 in 2nd, 110 in 3rd and then 4th goes to about 130

Is my speedo completely fubbard

depend's on the f16 fro..

there's the normal one which is basical the same ratio's as an F20..
then there's the F16cr, with has closer ratio's so quciker accel & lower top speed

mine did 82 in second

as for the f16 there is also a real close ratio one from an early astra gte mk1 mine see's 144 in 4th and then ran out of road in 5th
