It just went dead earlier and a red LED is on saying it's in safety mode
The fuses on the amp itself is fine. How can I sort this
It was hot when I went to check it

its obviously gone into safety mode for a reason mate,check all the wiring as they usually do this if there is a bare wire touching metal somewhere.

Wiring seems fine, I checked them all- pulled all the wires out and put them back in

yeah but it could be the wiring running thru the car mate.it could have rubbed on something for a while and rubbed thru.

could be,the best way to check realy is to wire an old speaker into the sub pre outs on the amp and switch on but it sounds like an amp prob to me!
Check them wires and report back mate.

If its in safety mode its because something has shorted out . . . . . .

Found the problem;
The fuse in the power cable had gone. It had melted itself in the holder so I need pliers to get it out
Checked every thing else and it's ok (thank god)
