what would everyone here say is better, drilled airbox? or full k&n induction kit?

K&N with drilled box, thats what ive got on mine atm.

i find it better than the green cotton induction i had before, better than drilled with standard panel filter, but not quite as good as the BMC i used to have.

BMC's are expensive though Marc . . . . Although I did just buy one from a company on Ebay

I know, I did have a genuine BMC but it ate my AFM's like they were sweets

Expensive game when it munches AFM's Hence the reason for going back to standard drilled airbox and then getting panel filter for it AFM should last longer with this set up

i had a courtenay panel filter in a drilled airbox on my gsi. but now have a k&N typhoon and what a difference.

xe's are fine with induction kit's etc, wont bother the afm

i thought the 8v didnt have a afm, if not would it be better gettin a bmc for my car and would it be ok to fit one off a different type car?
ie are there different types for different cars

There are different BMC's for different cars, just like there are with K&N inductions.
Expensive though, but i found it was the best out of all ive had

why does it wreck afm's anyway? oil from the filter?

my k+n has munched 1 possibly, when i put it on but has not failed yet after 2 years or so......i think you've been using fisher price AFM's

They were both Bosch GM. Not the cheap tacky ones

Decent filter and working AFM now, hopefulyl wont have to pay for anymore for a lil while.

i need to try and find out what are the exact same as 1.2 corsa, surely there must two that fit the same car (asin meant to fit the same car not just bolted on) as they are rare on ebay

dont think ill be buying a bmc, but you guys say drilling the airbox and fitting a panel is better than a k&n so thats what im gonna do cheers
