and it was showing 0.10 v

check the voltage at the batter without the engine running.

then check it at the battery with the engine running.

should be a significant rise in voltage on the 2nd test, should be 12V on the first and 14-15v on the second.

if the 2nd test doesnt show a change then the alternator is likely to be at fault, if there is a rise but the car still has a charging problem then its likely the battery is at fault as it isnt holding charge.
