Would you expect any serious engine damage and what would you have to do to overcome the immob problem
'The engine has not been started since the accident where the immobiliser chip was lost, however this was an aftermarket immobiliser and can be easily by-passed'
Cheers

cant see it has damaged the engine really you would have to do really well to do anything to an engine the front of the car would be too much of a mess to know what car it was
on the immobiliser its just going to be wired into the loom and tbh its probably wired into the loom on his car rather than the engine loom
why not ask if you can go down there and try remove the immobiliser and get it running so you know you aint buying a rotbox

milage is left out and he doesnt show pics of damage, what else is he hiding, why was he planning on selling in 2008?
and he could be using the immboliser as an excuse of why it doesnt run

Go down with someone who knows about car electrics and get it started. I would say the motor would be ok but check for oil / water mixing and usuall stuff. Depends what you want it for really aswell as if your only wanting the engine/box, ect it's not worth much more than it it's at now!
