Car was originally 1.4 8v SPI and is now 1.6 16v MPI i am running the engine on the SPI fuel pump and runs ok, but will i benefit from fitting at MPI pump?

nope, all corsa s=pumps are the same. Using my corsa GSi one to run my 290BHP LET at the mo

i thought you had to change it over if it was single point injectoin like with the redtops it has to be multi point injection pump for it to be ok

your gsi pump will be fine because its multi point injection if you had single point it would be a different matter

Sorry, just looked it up and there are indeed 2 different ones, whats the engine number for the 1.4 8V in question? I doubt the fuel pump will be struggling though

I have been led to believe that the standard GSI pump is the same as a Cav/Cally Turbo one? Not sure if that is true or not?

If it was an in tank Cav/cally one then they look exactly the same and are the same size but have different part numbers. I ran this engine on my 1.4 pump when it was in my last car as well so I dont think there can be THAT much difference between them.

Corsa ones are listed as:
12NZ, C12NZ, X12SZ, C14NZ, X14SZ engines - 90297154


X10XE, C14SE, X14XE, C16XE, X16XE engines - 90442231

irelivant. the gsi pump is dimensionally larger than the walbro pulsar pump i replaced it with
