quick question will a 1.6 8v gte head fit a 1.4 8v sri block? i'm pretty sure the gsi head does but don't know if the gte is any different.

Isn't the GTE head SPI? if not, I don't see why not. It's like putting a x16xe head on a x14xe.

GTE is mpi.
And yeah it will fit your sri block.
BUT it will drop compression right down, and be crap.
It needs a big skim to get the compression back to normal.
