I was told that because my Saxo was too low and they couldnt get the tracking point under the rear arch that it cant be done. Is there any way around this?

yeah some places use better equipment that actually goes on your wheel not your tyres they are meant to be more accurate to from what i have heard

I assume you mean as they cannot see the opposite side in the mirrors to gauge it?
My old GSI was like that due to it being uber low. In the end I got 2 bricks under each wheel to raise the car up so they could track it.

i never bother having the back done anyway. last time i tried to do my tracking the splitter was breaking the laser beam.
