My cars been fine

but ive just been out in it and its started grimnding when;
i pull of
channge to second slightly grinds
and change to third gins more than second

Can i fix this my self?
How much is it gooiung to cost?
What are theconsequences of not fixing this??

Is the car pulling ok? Forwards, not to one side etc?

Where is the noise coming from? Front/Rear, Wheels, Brakes, Box?

check the gear-box oil, this was a case with a mates car a while back as it was low.

Fill up from the top of the box until it comes out the plug on the diff casing IIRC.

jack the car up, spin both wheels and check for noises or play in the bearing

if it isnt that, try to pull away in 3rd/4th, if the revs rise and the car goes no where then your clutch has gone

A bearing has gon in the wheel

but there still is the clutch problem
when im turning around and reversing into spaces u can smell it

how much for a new clutch?

It could just be the bearing thats making the smell? when they really let go the wheel can wobble and can rub the brake pads to the disc
