Don't bother. Chris Astley does the mounts but it's a pain in the arse to do. Beardy from here has one. Said he'd never do another.
The engine is heavy, not that powerful, although it has a nice torque spread You'll need custom ex. manifolds, that costs about £300 per side. If you need to do any work it's a bit tight. Engine is best put in as a bare block then built up once it's in place.

Im guessing your 1.2 was a 16v? as they are the same as all MPI pumps

You shoudl swap an SPI pump to an MPI one.

why if it runs it ok then wouldnt it make sense to leave it?

Coz the MPI one is the one that 'should' be used. Not exactly a hard swap.

does it realy matter if the spi pump runs it with no probs then it would make sense to use it.

It will run fine on tick over an normaly driving but soon as you floor it a spi one wont be able to keep up, plus its its a seriously low pressure pump.
More than likely the pump had been replaced by a mpi by mistake (most people dont know the difference anyway.)

sounds about right then because mine pull all the way with no problems so it was probably changed at some point before i bought the car i only changed it due to upgrading to a turbo
