The big one is the crank case breather, the small one is the breather that takes the oil mist/blowby to the inlet pipe to be burnt in the engine.
The arrow starts over the Secondary Air Injection (SAI) valve

Sound thanks alot people
Well the reason im asking is when i was doing my ICV i notised it connects to like a plastic pipe and its broken off so its just resting in the hole and some times its nearly out the pipe ...
could this cause problems like jerking and lack of power ?

Its part of the EGR system mate, far left is thermostat housing, the centre piece recirculates the exhaust gases back into the engine to make the car more economical hence ECOtec. Loada bolox if you ask me!

The red circle
theres a big pipe and a small pipe ... the small pipe connects to like a plastic housing ? not sure what its for.. but Luke85 has told me what it is used for now ... but now i need to know whether it could effect performance if the plastic pipe is broken ?

I wouldnt have thought that is going to effect performance really since there is no air flow meter on this engine but you should get it fixed because your sucking in un-filtered air if its not sealing properly. When I had the 1.4 I disconnected the pipe from the inlet and put one of those piperx breather filters on it at the end of a piece of pipe, that way it stops all the oil mist and crap going down the inlet and keeps it clean
