Newbie here.....gone and broke his headlight switch.(Don't ask!!)

Just read a few posts saying that the car won't turn on without the switch!

I didn't actually try switching my car on but will try tomorrow morning.

Anyone know if just having a non-functioning switch in place will enable me to start the car?

I Urgently need to drive in the morning.......any ideas for a quick fix so i can get to the scrappy or parts dealer?

Thanks in advance

I guess I'll find out in the morning. Anyone know of a way to short the connector to get the lights working? I need them when i drive through some tunnels on my way to work.

Or even to have them on permanently when i'm driving, until i can get a new switch.

Even then he wants his lights to work so he can drive thru tunnels

It says nothing about a car not starting with no light switch

The car started without the switch despite posts to the contrary.

Managed to get to a nearby scrappy and get a replacement for around 10 quid. All sorted now.

Adam-D - Thanks for the offer of your spare switch!

Am thinking maybe i need to build up some spares if i want to tinker with my ride!!
