Ok want to paint the inside of my project car,
I have removed all the tar stuff and cleaned it up.
I will be painting it to match the outside of the car, Arden Blue.
I was wondering, what will i need to do to prep it before spraying with Arden Blue rattle can....

light base coat/ primer first...then spray away.

Thats csweatherston, thats what i thought.
Adam-D. Get a heat gun (240v one), and a metal wallpaper scraper. Heat it and scrape away comes off really easy. Get as much as you can off with the heat gun and scraper.
Then grab yourself a bottle of white spirit, get a trigger spray cap for it and spray it all over the remainding gunky tar. Wait a minuite then wipe away with rag, repeat with clean rag and it will clean it perfectly!

i used 240 w&d paper, roughed it up a bit, then 2-3 coats of halfords satin black lol..
my last one though, i used 240, high build grey primer, then halfords flame red rettle can...
both times came out good...
remember to let it vent well after you spray, i nearly passed out when i openened my car a day later

First thing I would do is give it a really thourough clean to make sure all the tar/glue remover is gone and none is left on the current paintwork, otherwise the paint/base coat may react with it

I painted my stripped corsa recently. Had to do it twice as the first time the sandpaper i used was too rough and you could see where it had been used under the paint.
So basically just start on a kind of rough paper, then work your way down to very very smooth.

Prep it in exactly the same way as you would prep the exterior. There is a tutorial in the FAQ section on painting
