boring it out to 1560cc? good luck with that.
Unless you'll have it stroked?
Should see a heathly 120bhp
You have to bin the ECU if you run carbs anyway

carbs dont use any more fuel than any other engine setup. its down to the person that sets them up.

agree with- warren.g!
it will be absolutely shite on fuel FULLSTOP!!
buy a bigger engine!
I put carbs on my mates nova 1.4 8v, along with headwork, cam, etc. and it was shite, not really that fast and he was filling it up with fuel every 2 minuites.
Get a Gsi lump, much better. There cheap, reliable and orite on fuel

im not saying your wrong but as everyone i want to do my own thing would just like a little help. anyway, having it bored out to a 1500cc will make the differnce in engine size but will still say c14se on the block. my insurance will be too much on a 1600 as ive got 6 points and 2 big expensive accidents on my insurance

just saying, might as well start turning the biggest engine of the same type you can fit in
cc = power and torque
wasnt any point tuning a 1.4 16v as i would be 15-20bhp down on what i have now

A 1.4 8v
with 40s,cam,4branch manifold etc
Usual sees around 105-110bhp.
To get over that you need a more agressive cam(300+deg's)
