Hi
I am looking for a local bodyshop (essex), with a good reputation for quality.
I own a vauxhall corsa (2000 plate) and am looking to book it into a bodyshop in 2-3 months time. My aim is to drive the car in, and drive out with a show car level of standard. The idea is to enter the car into shows and competitions.
This is a big project, and below is a list of things which need doing.
Semi-smooth rear boot.
Extend and badboy bonnet (metal welding, no fibre glass) and smooth out washer jets.
Fit RS style front bumper and smooth out number plate recess.
Smooth ridge from rear bumper.
Weld in and Smooth out roof rails.
Fit DTM style wing mirrors.
Smooth off fuel cap.
Fit single wiper conversion.
Smooth unused hole from scuttle panel.
Colour code scuttle panel.
Delock passenger door handle.
Colour code door handles.
Appropriate arch work required to fit 15', 8' front, 9' rear banded steel wheels (lowered on coilovers).
Fit wider 'euro' front arches.
Fit wider 'euro' rear arches and smooth into rear bumper.
Fit side skirts.
Respray whole car in white (shade undecided still).
What would a quote for the above project be so that I have an idea of a realistic price so won't be mugged off, I will supply the parts required. Inaddition could you provide a quote for a bare metal respray, and a quote for a standard inner and outer shell respray.
Thanks in advance.

Nice list, roll on Westwood
I walked into a Blakes Auto Bodyshop and asked for a price on a bonnet to be sprayed star silver and to blend the wings and i was quoted a touch over £370
Blakes are very good quality but look down on cheaper/modded cars so unless your driving in a Jaguar or Porche they dont really wanna know.

really? im going to the wrong places then.
For a decent job your looking at at least twice that amount. then theres door shuts etc? and VAT ontop?
Anyway for all that work done to be a show car, your looking at around 5k-6k at a guess
