JUST HAD MY V6 BRAKE SETUP THAT I BOUGHT A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO FITTED.
but the problem is the piston on the cariper is only hitting half the pad so i'm getting a long brake pedal and half contact on the disc as its twisting the pad
has anyone else had this how did you cure it?
the mechanic who fitted them said i will probably need bigger discs and pads?

if you dont have the metal spring clip it will twist the caliper. causing the uneven wear you see on the front....

I'd say it was down to the clip mate, I think Haimsey had a similar problem when he put the clip the wrong way round on he's 2l brakes

Yes it is VITAL.
It stops the caliper moving away from the bracket. Without the clips the brakes hardly work at all.
And thats probably causing your problem! The caliper isn't staying still when you brake, so the pad can move about.
