Hi, I've got alloys which are 195/45/15 and when i bought them the guy asked if I had any intentions of lowering it, I said no and he said I would have to buy some kind of clearance kit if I decided to lower it..? I'm just wondering if I do lower it, how much can I lower it by until the wheels would start scrubbing my arches? Is it even possible to lower it at all?!?!

So you reckon it would be ok to lower by 40mm? Which website did you go on to find that out?

i should think you will get away with -40mm...
if not why not sell them and get some original vauxhall alloys, put your 195/45/15 tyres on as there perfect size, and then lower it -60mm all round, may even make a little money out of it...

I just recently bought them, don't really wanna sell them. I do have vauxhall alloys. They are the 3 spoke ones, came standard on my sport.

40mm all round should be fine..
dont think it will cause any problems, just buy a 2nd hand set for about £20/30, or even brand new for about £50

Any suggestions where to buy them from? Do you think I will need to buy new shocks as well.
