hi guys, a question for the 8v boys!!
i have a 1.4 8v corsa track car and i want more power!! but dont want the hassle of carbs!!
the spec i already have is
1.4 8v sri mpi
polished and ported head with 3 angle valves
induction kit with massive cold feed pipe
sportex 4branch which is heat-wrapped
de-cat
standard centre box, 4"jap back box

any ideas??
i want around 100-110bhp!!

somebody did say u could fit a 2.0 8v inlet and throttle body??? and also fit a td cam???

Definitely look at a new cam, not sure about the TD one but autosprint in birmingham do reprofiles of your existing one

No you can just pay a surcharge with some places for re-grinds

o ok!! well i have a 1.6 cam on the way is that any good? how about a power boost valve?

2l 8v inlet doesn't fit.
Td cam doesn't fit.

Power boost valves=load of shite


The standard ecu/engine management will be holding the engine power back.
You need a decent cam, and aftermarket management so you can get it fully mapped.

Either a decent cam and mappable ecu=£500 plus mapping costs

Or a decent cam and carbs=£500 and setup costs


Or fit nitrous

kent or piper cam?

look into remapping it certain places lime court and miller or jamsport can do this, put a straight through centre section on it, not always a big induction kit helps, look into enclosed ones, as hot air isnt good air
