Whats this? Ive never heard of it?
You'd think if its Vodafone exclusive that they'd have some massive marketing compaign that would make us all throw away our iPhones and rush out for one of these?

Everytime that phone is mentioned a baby goes to hell, they are forming the hell army which is going to break loose on release of the phone. The end of the world is nigh.
Ps this was written on my iPhone connected via wifi to my home network, now there is a neat idea!

Had a play with one of these at work today......and i will sum it up as disappointed!
Only comes with 1bg of memory and no wi-fi! I mean what the fuck?!?
Should of seen the sales girls face when she heard me slate it, she was shocked, no-one else had siad there was nothing wrong with it!!
The screen is different, the whole screen depresses, but to be honest i would prefer a normal touch screen. The video play back and screen quality was very impressive.
All in an ok phone, will it knock the iphone off......no!!
The only way around the wi-fi issue is if they release it with a free data bolt on etc
Certainly not as good as some people made it out to be in the other thread imo. Oh and i do work for VF and all i can say is i am over the moon that i have left tech support because blackerrys are a bastard to fix at the best of times let alone one with that many features that will no doubtly feck up

some may say that.
Dont get me wrong i will promote products when i believe in them, but at the end of the day they only pay my bills, dont own my mind
RIM have really missed a clanger with no wifi. And as for revenue generating through data connection, true but why does virtually every other medium to high end device have Wifi cababilties including the recently released Blackberry bold! Just seems no sensical to not include it.
Business users will love it no doubt about it as the lack of wifi wont really impact them, but the consumer market will demand the wifi.
Look at the storm and iphone side by side and the storm loses
^ all imo of course

WiFi, I agree, however weve obv taken a decision not too give it in there so theres little poitn complaining, there will be unlimited data so as logn as you live ina 3G area (which most of us do these days lets be fair) then it isnt that big a deal, handy yes but oh well (PS its Voda not RIM who have rmeoved wifi, verizons has it)
as for 1GB mem, does seem low but it sounds like it will come with a free 8GB SD anyways, and they arent exactly exp when you consider how much cheaper this is goign to be than an iPhone (singificantly)
u cant really criticize the touchscreen, its miels ahead of the iphones tbf, but of cours eits personal preference
will it knock the iphone off, no because it doesnt have a half eaten piece fo fruit on the back, will it sell stupidly well, yes undoubtedly! Business users will lvoe it and it ahs more features than the best phone out atm, the N95 8GB

I would not say the iPhone is that expensive anymore now they virtually give the phone away on contract. £99/£159 on cheap contract, free/59 @£45 month
Will the storm be "much" less than £399 sim-free?

No idea on PAYT but will be exp... you pay what £99/159 for an iPhone at £35 price point, its likely the Storm will be free + the taroffs will be much more competitive than the iPhone tariffs which are piss poor
Also the iPhone PAYG has bombed big time, very very low sales
