i had a sportex box fitted yesterday and i can hardly hear it. Would that be down to the make of the back box or because i havent got a straight through pipe on?
thinking of buying an ashley one and selling this one, any ideas wether it would be much louder?

about 6mm holes
but its the exhaust mate, its really quiet, is that down to the backbox or is it that i need to cut the centre box out and replace with a straight through pipe?
or, would an ashley backbox be louder?

Not too sure, i had a Sportex on my old 8v and when it was on tickover it sounded nice but when moving etc souded fucking awesome.

i dont hear it on tick over, id like something with a nice pur to it an then nice an loud when i boot it. where as i dont hear it at all from inside the car with this one.
i just dont want to buy another back box to find i need to replace the mid section

you need to get the system too, i got the race tube (system without a mid box) and its so loud when you cane it. don't get an ashley exhaust it won't be louder and in my opinion are the worst make of exhausts.

its a 1.4sri and no u can see straight through the back box. How much roughly is a straight through pipe usually?

i know it's pedantic, but check it ain't loosing air anywhere, put hand over the back pipe while running you'll soon find out, but a big straight pipe would help things  watch it though, sometimes just straight pipe + backbox is too loud.

ive checked for air leaks mate, think i will just be better off with straight through pipe. lol i know yeah.
where can i get a pipe from, any ideas mate?

simply a bit of pipe really, depends how you wanna do it
i'm sure you can buy a performance one, or you could buy a bit of *size* pipe and weld it yourself!

dont need a full system my mate had a black corsa c 1.2 sxi with k'n'n and irmscher back box sounded well nice and wen giving it beans sounded even better
