Im asking on here cause i know alot of you fit 100mm springs which have one or two coils...
What id like to know is, do these fall out when jacking the car up ? And is there a risk even a tiny one they could come out when driving ..
Basically im getting stiffer and shorter springs as i want it 20mm lower for my 182 and i do trackdays so want to be sure there's no risks at all.
Cheers Rob

I've got -100mm springs on the back of mine Rob and they have never fallen out when driving I've put a couple of cable ties on mine to hold them on just in case and so they dont fall out when you jack it up etc

Yes- Jack them up to a certain height and they do fall out. (but this is quite a way)
never cabled tied them in within the 2years of having low springs. No point. not exactly going to be doing air and have the suspension travel that high for them to fall out. but may be diff with regards to doing track days etc.

A lad from round here had 60mm springs and standard shocks on his Corsa GSi.
He rolled it on a straight after a spring came out at around 105mph.
Either make sure you have uprated / shortened shocks and / or cable tied springs too.

you shocks are not short enough if they come out. never had a problem with mine when it was down 100mm and my brother has never had a problem with his being down more than 100mm. get some decent short shocks

All very low springs will fall out when the rear suspension is left to drop down(car on axle stands/ramp on the sills)
Hence why you need to keep them in with cable ties or something.
