yes mate they are, there the same block apart from displacement, you could praps rni either bottom end on either head (vice verser stylee)

Ah excellent, i've got a 1.2 Corsa with the bottom end is rumbling and a 1.4 astra im not using. So thinking a cheap repair. So direct replacement yeah? Cheers for your help

Slap the 1.4 bottom end on the 1.2 head

Just one more question. Assuming in my quest for more power i put the 1.4 bottom end on the 1.2 head i'd have to use the 1.4 head Gasket yeah?

no always use the head gasket to the head that your using in any sitution
