hay peeps i had a viper 480xv alarm and imobaliser fitted about a year ago, was driving down the road today and i hit a small rut in the road which i thought no biggy its only like i hit a shallow speed bump at 20mph.. Car didn't like it tho, dash lights went out, radio went off, mfd went out, and the car cut out and refuses to start, ended up calling the rac out as even the hazards weren't working.. Said it is more than likely the alarm moduel as the led isn't flashing at all and the car wont lock with the fob but does off the key.. My main fear is that its done something to the ecu as the guy said its wired all into the ecu.. He said about 15 wires are spliced into the main harnes for the car ecu.. Whats the likely hood that the alarm moduel has back fed and popped the ecu?
