I had this also, download a program called malware bytes
http://www.malwarebytes.org/ , run a scan and remove found problems
then I downloaded spybot search and destroy and ran another scan, that sorted the problem for me.

did you use the malware bytes software, as the first thing I tried removing the spyware from startup via msconfig but it was still causing problems.
I used malware bytes and the problem was sorted, used spybot search and destroy after just to make sure.

HiJackthis ftw... everytime.
Download the program, upload the results, and nail the bad shit.
Go into your control panel and uninstall any crap which looks like "IE toolbar" "Shopper helper" "windows security warnings", that sort of thing.
Then go to start -> run -> msconfig
to the startup tab and untick anything which you dont recognise or need (i,e acrobat speed launcher, real updater, etc).
all of the above will make an amazing difference.
